The Trygve Cup welcomes a new concept for its latest edition: Champions vs Challengers. This will see the cup defended by the current holders and challenged for by other clubs within the Wellington region. The cup can be won or retained at an event held within the competition parameters. This challenge system has been designed to positively enhance the experience of competitive swimming, develop interclub rivalries and further increase participation at home pools across the region. The trophy is named after the late Trygve Mark Berge and will be open to all clubs to participate and compete in to be named winners of the cup.
